The Once a Month Club got it's official start in January 2010 due to some friendly competition.
Paul suggested that he and his mom make a better macaroni and cheese than me. Well, I was hearing none of that, knowing that as the queen of starch, I should surely have the best! And so it began, the mac off.....
Word got out and we ended up with five amazing entries for the first annual Macaroni and cheese competition. Well, the starch queen conceded and admitted that there were multiple mac 'n cheese entries that were superior.
Even better than the mac and cheese.....the amazing ham loaf.....compliments of Paul's mom. It was a hit with everyone!!
End result, neither Paul nor I won for the best mac and cheese, a rookie newcomer to the cooking world ran away with the competition, Lauren.
